Product Description
Polyoxymethylene thermoplastic crystalline polymer. Known as "super steel" or "race steel", it is also called polyoxymethylene. The English abbreviation is POM. Usually, the polymer obtained by formaldehyde polymerization has a low degree of polymerization and is susceptible to thermal depolymerization. It can be used as a raw material for organic chemicals and synthetic resins, and also as a pharmaceutical fumigant.
Application
At a lower cost than many other engineering plastics, polyoxymethylene (POM) is replacing some markets traditionally occupied by metals, such as replacing zinc, brass, aluminum and steel to make many parts. Since its inception, POM has been widely used in Electronic and electrical, machinery, instrumentation, daily light industry, automobiles, building materials, agriculture and other fields. In applications in many new fields, such as medical technology, sports equipment, etc., POM has also shown a good growth trend.
High-performance acetal resin has characteristics such as low friction and high wear resistance, high strength and high stiffness.
POM is a linear and highly crystalline polymer with no side base, high density and high crystallization. It has high elastic modulus, high hardness and stiffness. It can be used at -40-100°C for a long time, and is resistant to repeated impact with few strength changes. The strength is little affected by temperature and temperature change, and the creep is small. Has good comprehensive performance, has the most superior thermoplastic material fatigue resistance, outstanding creep resistance, and good electrical properties.
