Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) resin is a high polymer. It is usually a white or slightly yellow flocculant with a flake, granular or powdery appearance. PVA is non-toxic, odorless, and non-polluting.

PVA is a water-soluble resin with good chemical stability. It also has good adhesion, film-forming ability, insulation, oil resistance, abrasion resistance and gas barrier properties, and has typical polyol chemical properties, which can enable esterification, etherification, and acetylation reactions.

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is suitable for building mortar additive, it can improve the water retention of mortar, improve mortar
