Amines, C16-18-alkyldimethyl is a tertiary amine with a linear aliphatic chain and are N,N-dimethyl substituted. Amines, C16-18-alkyldimethyl is insoluble in water and its density is lower than that of water. So it floats on the water. It is soluble in alcohol. Contact may irritate skin, eyes and mucous membranes. May be toxic by ingestion, inhalation or skin absorption. Used in the manufacture of other chemicals.
Amines, C16-18-alkyldimethyl is toxic. Inhalation, ingestion or skin contact with material may cause severe injury or death. Contact with molten substance may cause severe burns to skin and eyes. Avoid any skin contact. Effects of contact or inhalation may be delayed. Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases.
